A couple of helpful hints…
I trust you have been trying some of the foods I mentioned in the last blog and how it can help in your everyday life. Help feed the brain, help to offset the chemical life that we live in.
For example, Aluminium is generally in all anti-perspirants, especially in the ones that stays on for 48 hours, or the basic ones you put on daily. Aluminium is deposited via our pores into our lymphatics when we put on the antiperspirant/deodorant. This then clogs up the pores around our arm pits which is where the lymph glands are and close to the surface. In breast cancer it is either/or, both lymph nodes and breast tissue that cancer cells start growing. So try just using deodorant only if you aren’t a big perspirer (sweater). OR even baking soda with a few drops of your favourite aromatherapy leave in an air tight pot. Then just put a little on the arm pit after showering.
Alcohol, it’s in our everyday lives, in advertising with sports events, festivals include it or make it all about alcohol, Oktoberfest, Beervana, Wine fairs/tastings. Science has purported that red wine is good for digestion and heart health. However it is stipulated at only one glass. The red colouring is helpful for your circulation. But if you continue to drink in excess many systems of the body are effected, the liver of course, the cells have to break down the alcohol as well as the preservatives in the liquor. It damages the brain, slows cognition and reactions. The whole brain mechanism is slowed. The toxicity also extends to the pancreas as there is sugar in alcohol and the pancreas breaks down sugars/carbohydrates. The kidneys also have to work harder to filtrate the fluid and expel the toxins. To finish off the alcohol is absorbed straight into the blood stream through the stomach lining into the blood which carries it to the brain. Mixing makes the effect worse and different alcohols have different reactions to people. Some go angry and others go passive. Blacking out is also incredibly dangerous to the brain, shutting down the hippocampus in the temporal lobe. So to counteract the heavy drinking night the best thing to do is of course water. If possible drink water in the busy evening. The morning after the body is dehydrated because alcohol is a diuretic so flushes out more water and electrolytes. In a glass of warm water add a sprinkle of sea or Himalayan salt, and a pinch of sugar. The glucose will help and the salt will replenish cells of sodium and chloride. A vitamin B complex will help restore the nervous system and help the brain recuperate. If you can get some rosemary in the water even more ideal as this mops up the free radicals in the brain. Sleep helps but if you need to get moving try the water and B’s.
Enjoy your week, in moderation and hopefully not in excess 🙂
