Opinions and Observations.
Hello … I trust your week has been good and if not I hope you haven’t “lost your mind” or “murdered anybody!”  Let’s face it we all feel like that when we are having a stressed week. For example:  When a taxi driver decides to drop off his fare immediately in front of you double parking– REALLY couldn’t he have gone around the corner to some place safer, and not given change in 10c pieces back to the customer.  I wonder how many of us don’t ask the cab driver to go around the corner for the safety of all concerned.  We too forget as passengers or do we leave the decision to the cab driver and snarl up traffic.  Or we say “stuff it “I will only be a couple of minutes.  Or: Do we wince when we see the traffic building up behind and we leap out if the cab and dive into the building hoping that no one will recognise us.  We all do dumb things and forget others when thinking in the moment.  Other non-thinking: cars that block the cycle way to join traffic, meanwhile there are cyclists hooning down the road to get to work as well as fitness at the same time then someone pulls right across the footpath/cycle lane so that they have to brake, swerve and take a tight corner to avoid the inconsiderate driver.   If these incidences bother you and hang around for a while “the injustice of it all” “why can’t people be more considerate” – it happens all the time, the art is not to let it hang with you for any length of time.  These small resentments build up, they make you sick, they need to be left alone quickly as they don’t mean that much and I am sure all of us have been non-thinking, inconsiderate and selfish at least some time in our lives.  Consideration and compassion that is the key to keep this world moving.
We forget,  we get so wrapped up in our world, our egocentric world, our selfish small world – where we sweat the small stuff that is unnecessary, we get wrapped up and pulled into someone else’s drama, we take a side out of friendship and loyalty – yet how is the other party feeling?  So many small bits that take up our mind, giving way to prejudice, only one view point, a bias opinion.  Opinions, or observations?  Opinion changes the way you see things and adjust accordingly, observations are thoughts that don’t change how you see things in this world.
Opinions will play on your mind, often things aren’t worthy of rent space in our heads.  We, on average have 70,000 thoughts a day – wow too much, too busy.    If we do fill up our heads let it be something pleasant, something hmmmmm 🙂 , this will calm our pulse, lower our heart rate and help us sleep better.  Think or your hmmmm moment and recall it often throughout the day, let your whole body smile.  Don’t concern yourself with STUPID things, unnecessary things.
Have a good week.
