Going back to work…

Going back to work:
Some are looking forward to it, especially with the kids on holiday and some sane conversation is very attractive.  And not having the constant fight of putting shoes on, cleaning up their bedroom, or even putting dirty dishes and laundry where they should be and not a pile in the corner!!! Or perhaps you enjoy your work in which case you are the few, most do the job that pays the bills and has an interesting outside of work life.  If you don’t – get a hobbie, there are loads of meet up groups that can help put you in touch with like-minded people.  It could be dog walking, philosophy discussions, cooking club, book club.  Sometimes in this world of so much social media that individuals can get lost, or isolated. Cyber bullying is horrible and can make people feel even more afraid to go out.  We are losing the skill of connecting with people.  It almost seems that even though the world is getting smaller we aren’t connecting nearly as much.
A study done in Harvard  (Vine Survivor)was saying the new generation doesn’t have the skills now to go into this world and negotiate pay, job, relationship as everything is so instant.  Some parents go in for them… How crazy is that!!!
We need to connect more with real people.
For those who are dreading going to work and it can make them sick or stressed out about it please start looking quietly for another job.  If you feel you can’t then you have to make the most of what you have by looking after yourself.  A lovely quote “Drink coffee to help you change the things you can, drink wine to help you accept the thinks you can’t”.  If the job is stressful, use tit bits all over the web to help you cope.  I have certainly covered most aspects on how to deal with stress.
You have to change your thinking – however if it clashes with your principles and integrity you will struggle.  Try this: imagine you have love to the left of you, contentment on the right and joy above you. Sit quietly on the train, on the bus and let those three feelings connect at the core of your body in an energetic visual kind of way.  Allow the hmmm feeling the one which makes you smile from the inside out and move it around the body.  All the way to the fingertips and toes.  See how you feel when you walk into work.  Try and change to a small smile attitude and others may follow.
As regards to keeping the nervous system out of stress imagine you have a pencil in your ear with a piece of paper parallel to your head.  Imagine writing your name (small letters), it’s these small movements that helps keep the neck loose and stress free.  Do it on both sides. Do it in the shower in the car, lift etc.  easy at your desk too.

Have a great week and think joy 🙂
